Overview

The Stowupland Fitness Suite is a great place to realise all of your fitness goals. Whether you'’re trying to lose weight, tone up, bulk up or simply maintaining what you already have this is the place for you. The Fitness Suite predominantly has four areas:

Area One: The Fitness Zone

This comprises of three rowing machines, three treadmills, a cross-trainer, a stepper, two recumbent bikes, and an upright bike. The rowing machines and cross-trainer, as well as working your heart and lungs, also gives you an all over body workout and to achieve your workout goal you should work with your heart rate elevated for a minimum of twenty minutes.

Area Two: Fixed Resistance Weight Machines

This comprises of machines to train all the major muscle groups. Fixed Resistance Machines are very good for getting people started especially those who have never trained with weights before. You are supplied with a pin and all you have to do is select your weight and away you go.

Area Three: Free Weights

Free weights are more suited to someone who has been training with weights for a little while and understands that they need good balance and a good understanding as for why they are doing a particular exercise. Many people think that by using weights that they will grow big bulky muscles, but if you train in the right way you can maintain and tone what muscles you already have.

Area Four: Stretch Mats

After your workout a cool down stretch is strongly recommended. Stretching is the part of the workout that most people neglect. The warm up stretch is the short stretch holding each stretch for 8 to 10 seconds and the cool down stretches should be held for 15 to 30 seconds.
